All About Psychological Testing
The Life Change Group offers all of the most commonly used tests and assessments. We specialize in psycho-educational, bariatric, ADHD, behavioral, psychological, and intelligence testing. Dr. Pamela Wright leads and supervises the testing practice. She is a Georgia-licensed psychologist and works primarily with clients aged 6 to adults.
Dr. Wright, founder and clinical director of The Life Change Group, is one of the few psychologists in Peachtree City and the surrounding area that performs psychological, psycho-educational and behavioral testing. If you have questions about attention deficit or hyperactivity disorders, The Life Change Group offers full testing, analysis, evaluation and report creation. Parents and caregivers can then take these reports and turn them in to schools or other medical professionals. Dr. Wright tests for a large variety of problems, including: ADHD / ADD, IQ / achievement, and reading assessment. For a Testing Overview – click our article series discussing how testing works.
How to Schedule a Testing Session
Most testing begins with an initial background meeting with Dr. Wright so that she can more fully understand the reasons for testing, examine previous test results and ratify the goals for the current battery of tests. Actual testing sessions typically last a few hours, but some more complex batteries of tests can take two or three days to complete. Depending on the age and ability of the client, Dr. Wright will break up the sessions into manageable periods. Testing is done in the mornings between 9-12pm. After the testing is complete, Dr. Wright will score them and personally evaluate all the results, conclusions and next steps. She will compile a top-line briefing and a set of actionable recommendations for next steps. Upon payment, clients can obtain a hard copy of the report, evaluation and recommendations.
