We offer a wide variety of psychological testing, including psycho-educational, educational, bariatric, ADHD, behavioral, psychological, reading assessment, and intelligence testing. Dr. Pamela Wright, the founder and clinical director, leads and supervises the psychological testing and educational testing practice.
She has been a Georgia-licensed psychologist for more than a decade and guides our team in administering and evaluating clients from age six through adult on the most widely recommended tests. The most commonly used tests include the TOVA, WAIS, WISC and IQ tests, among others. Typically we don’t test children younger than six because they often are not verbal enough to generate a significant test result.

The Essence of Psychological Testing
Psychological testing encompasses a range of techniques and assessments that are designed to measure and evaluate different psychological attributes and processes. These tests provide objective and standardized measures of various aspects of human behavior, personality traits, cognitive abilities, and emotional functioning. The results obtained from psychological testing help professionals gain a comprehensive understanding of individuals’ strengths, weaknesses, and unique psychological profiles.
Types of Psychological Testing:
- Psychometric Testing: Psychometric tests are standardized tools used to measure individual differences in areas such as intelligence, aptitude, personality, and specific skills. These tests provide reliable and valid measurements, allowing professionals to gain insights into an individual’s cognitive abilities, personality traits, and emotional functioning.
- Psychological Assessment: Psychological assessment involves gathering comprehensive information about an individual’s psychological, emotional, and behavioral functioning. This process often includes interviews, observations, and the administration of various tests to assess specific areas of interest, such as intelligence, memory, attention, or personality.
- Psycho-diagnostic Testing: Psycho-diagnostic testing focuses on diagnosing specific psychological conditions or disorders. These tests are designed to identify symptoms, assess severity, and provide diagnostic clarity to guide treatment planning. Examples include tests for autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities.
- Neuropsychological Testing: Neuropsychological tests evaluate cognitive functions, such as memory, attention, language, and problem-solving, to identify any potential brain-related impairments or cognitive deficits. These tests are particularly useful in assessing individuals with neurological conditions, brain injuries, or developmental disorders.
