Esther Jean-Gratia, PsyD
Dr. Jean-Gratia is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Georgia. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University in New York. Dr. Jean-Gratia earned her master’s degree and doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Jean-Gratia has worked with a diverse client population to address a variety of psychological issues.
Dr. Jean-Gratia has provided psychotherapy and psychological testing in a wide variety of settings from rural communities to large metropolitan areas. She has experience working in college counseling centers, private practices, community mental health centers, drug court, and vocational rehabilitation. Dr. Jean-Gratia enjoys helping others and has done volunteer work to help survivors of human trafficking in Atlanta, Georgia.
Therapeutic Approach and Specialty Areas
Dr. Jean-Gratia has an integrative approach to psychotherapy combining psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal therapies. She believes in providing unconditional positive regard to her clients to help foster a strong therapeutic relationship. Dr. Jean-Gratia believes that a strong therapeutic relationship enables clients to gain the tools and strategies that fosters change and growth.
Dr. Jean-Gratia provides individual, group, and couples therapy and psychological testing. She specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and families who are experiencing depression, grief and loss, stress and anxiety, phase of life issues, self-esteem problems, trauma, and relational problems. Dr. Jean-Gratia also provides intelligence testing, personality testing, psychoeducational testing, and pre-surgical psychological evaluations.
