Approach
Mary Ellen intends to personalize your counseling experience by learning about your goals for counseling and by working with you to establish a warm and comfortable environment in which to work on a plan together. Because counseling is a second career for Mary Ellen, she hopes the empathy gained from her own life transitions and experiences will help create a judgment-free, caring space for you to share your concerns. Mary Ellen has received training in Person-Centered Therapy but is open to and looks forward to incorporating elements from Solution-
Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other therapies as appropriate. As your provider, Mary Ellen will be supervised by Dr. Pamela Wright of The Life Change Group and a Georgia State University supervisor.
Education
Mary Ellen graduated from Agnes Scott College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
