About Lauren Johnson, LPC, CRC

Lauren Johnson is a licensed professional counselor at The Life Change Group

Lauren Johnson is a licensed professional counselor providing therapy and counseling for individuals, couples and families. She specializes in LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning).

Lauren Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Lauren has her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Georgia State University. Lauren has experience working in an acute care behavioral health hospital with individuals of all backgrounds.

Lauren specializes in clients with LGBT questions, primarily because those in that community are 300% more likely to experience a mental health condition such as depression.

“Life can sometime be tough to deal with and we never have all the right answers,” says Lauren Johnson. “My goal to create a safe and judgement free space for people to create positive changes in their lives. When life sometimes seems like too much, it can be hard to identify where we struggle in our lives and even harder to find solutions to for those struggles. In working with my clients, I try to help them establish their treatment goals at their pace, as well as start structuring healthy strategies to manage their daily struggles.”
